• Basic license :

The Basic License covers many popular types of use, such as :

A) All non-commercially distributed projects

B) Unlimited commercial distribution for :

– All web-based content: internet videos on YouTube, Vimeo etc. / Websites, social media / Web Advertising / Podcasts

C) Non-commercial distribution or profitable up to 1,000 units sales of the project (digital or physical distribution) for :

– Corporate videos

– Apps & games

– Film and theaters (student, festival)

– TV & radio programming (pilots, public broadcasting)

The Basic license can be used for an unlimited number of projects, worldwide and in perpetuity.

If this license doesn’t fit your needs, then you need to look for the Premium license.

• Premium license :

The Premium license includes all the features of the Basic License and covers the following commercial uses for ONE single Project :

– All non-web advertisement

– Commercial app & game (unlimited revenues)

– Film & Theater with a max. budget of USD 2 millions.

– Any TV & radio show

– Advertisement on TV, radio, out of home, theaters for one single territory

– Points of sale and industrial events (trade shows, showroom displays…) for one single territory

The rights granted with the Premium license are for ONE single Project only, for unlimited distribution worldwide and revenues, and in perpetuity.

Our recordings are only available to license for synchronization in media productions (websites, videos, DVDs, TV broadcasts, films, games, etc.) as background music. In other words, you can only use our music as background for a product that is not marketed as a ‘song’ or a musical product. Otherwise, the purpose of the music would be altered in some way ; please remember that the copyright of the music remains clearly and entirely in the hands of Gaia Meditation.

 You are allowed to :

• record your voice and add our music as background for an audiobook, storytelling, hypnotherapy, guided meditation, self-help programs or any kind of narration.

You are NOT allowed to :

• You can’t sing over the music track or add any instrument, and market the results as your own music or as your song, even if the original track has been transformed or edited or if you add other instruments or vocals to the music. This is called a ‘Derivative Work’ and this is not allowed.

Note :

• If your Project is intended to generate revenue to you and if you distribute more than 1,000 copies of your production, you will require a Premium License.

Both licenses (Basic or Premium) allow you to use our recordings in a personal or professional context for yourself, your clients or your employer.

You do NOT have the right to :

• sell the recording in the form that it was delivered to you. You must embed it in your own work as part of a finished end product.
• transfer the recording by itself, nor barter it, nor trade it, nor share it, nor lease it, nor give it away to any other party.
• sublease your license to any third party.
• market the music as your own even if you add other instruments or voice to the music.
• sing over the music, and sell or distribute the song.
• register your Project with any Content Idendification System (e.g. YouTube Content ID), service provider, music distributor, record label or digital aggregator (for example TuneCore or CDBaby, and any other provider of user-generated content identification services).

You’ll just need to get a new Basic license to keep on selling your Project, or you can choose to get a Premium license instead, to be allowed to generate unlimited revenues for your Project.

Our music belongs to a Content ID database. Therefore, if you upload a video including one of our recordings on YouTube, you may get a copyright claim by ‘AdRev for Rights Holder’. If you have purchased a license of use from Gaia Meditation, don’t worry, all you have to do is send us an email with your PDF license and your video link, and we’ll remove the claim.

Note : You’re not allowed to upload your Project to any Content Identification system (e.g. YouTube Content ID etc.) as Gaia Meditation retains ownership of the recording. If you were to do this, it would send copyright claims to all of our users, and it would constitutes a violation of our licensing terms.

Gaia Meditation music is royalty free. This means that once you’ve paid the one-time license fee, you can use the music as many times as you wish, for as long as you like in accordance with the terms of your license. You’ll never have to pay us any additional license fees based on usage.

Note :

• Our licenses do not include public performance rights.
• The terms ‘royalty free’ doesn’t mean that our music is ‘copyright free’. Gaia Meditation always remain the owner of the recording copyright.
• You must always credit us for the use of our music, in the following or similar way : ‘Music produced by Gaia Meditation’.

To ensure that our composers are compensated by the relevant Performing Rights Organizations, cue sheets must be completed for productions that are publicly broadcast, such as TV, radio, film and theatrical productions and advertisements.
